Sofer / Scribe

Rabbi Selmar began working as a Sofer, checking and selling mezuzos, selling, inspecting and repairing tiffillin, checking and repairing Torah scrolls, checking, repairing and selling megilos, in the Detroit area from 1976 to 1978.

Upon moving to Florida in 1979, he expanded the Sofer work to include selling Torah Scrolls, writing Ketuvos (marriage documents) filling in Marriage document forms in English and Hebrew, and writing Gittin (divorce documents) for Rabbi David Lehrfield, whose Gittin are internationally accepted.
