Since 1979, Rabbi Yitzchak Mayer Selmar has served the South Florida, South
American and Caribbean communities as a Mohel.
Bris Milah services have been provided to a wide variety of the Jewish population, from
the Orthodox to the unaffiliated.
Rabbi Selmar started working as a Sofer,
checking and selling mezuzos, selling,
inspecting and repairing tiffillin, checking and repairing Torah scrolls, checking,
repairing and selling megilos, in the Detroit area from 1976 to 1978.
Upon moving to Florida in 1979, he expanded the Sofer work to include selling Torah
Scrolls, writing Ketuvos (marriage documents) filling in Marriage document forms in
English and Hebrew, and writing Gittin (divorce documents) for Rabbi David Lehrfield,
whose Gittin are internationally accepted.
